New Dürr Dental camera for intraoral and fluorescence images

The latest generation of the VistaCam iX intraoral camera is not only characterised by its functions; in addition, it meets all requirements pertaining to ergonomics. The camera has already won the renowned "iF product design award 2011" and is "red dot design award winner 2011". Dürr Dental has combined successful tried-and-tested components to create its new camera. The VistaCam product range epitomises efficient communication and diagnostic support. The VistaCam iX meets the highest requirements for fully digital image transmission with regard to depth of field and image quality. The circular, well-considered arrangement of the LEDs ensures optimum and homogenous illumination. Previously, the early detection of tooth decay and the visualization of plaque were realised using the VistaProof fluorescence camera.

Now, the new VistaCam iX enables both intraoral camera images and fluorescence images. The operator can quickly obtain an overview of the current state of the patient's teeth. The Dürr Dental DBSWIN software enables the accurate localisation and activity of caries on the screen. The new product version also allows video clips to be recorded, thus documenting the current situation of the patient. The VistaCam iX has a 360° all-round capture ring which enables the best possible use of the Still/Live and Save functions in all possible imaging situations. The Sensitive Control function conveniently sends confirmation signals to the handpiece. A movement sensor enables the automatic activation and deactivation of the camera. Moreover, it can be used in practically all types of surgery, even without a PC (stand-alone version). The disconnector on the handpiece means that the VistaCam iX is ideally suited for surgeries with multiple treatment stations.
